Burnley target Man United defender Chris Eagles

United may be ready to allow Chris Eagles to move on as ambitious Burnley boss Owen Coyle looks to sign the Old Trafford starlet in a £1m-plus deal.
Coyle wants the long serving United squad man to quit the European champions and become a major player at Turf Moor - and head up their push for promotion from the Championship. The big-thinking Burnley chief hopes to talk Eagles into the move this week after agreeing terms with United for the 22-year-old winger, once dubbed the 'next David Beckham'.
The tall and skilful Eagles has only started six games in his time with Sir Alex Ferguson's men but has been a success in several loan spells - and now it seems time for him to move on.
United chief Ferguson has cleared him to speak with Burnley, who want to snap him up before rival bidders come in.
Coyle has already signed a handful of players but Eagles would be an eye-catching capture - and still leave him with funds for two or three more arrivals.
