Cardiff move for Gerrard

Cardiff want to sign Walsall's transfer-listed defender Anthony Gerrard.

Walsall have snubbed Scunthorpe's £200,000 bid for the 22-year-old, a cousin of Liverpool star Steven Gerrard.

But the Welshmen, who banked £5m from the sale of Roger Johnson to Birmingham, are set to meet the £500,000 asking price.
