Carlo Ancelotti is ready to finally confirm he is the next Chelsea boss - and could do so as soon as the weekend.
Sources close to Ancelotti (above) revealed the 49-year-old is poised to end his eight-year San Siro reign and publicly commit to the Blues once Milan have secured their Champions League place for next season.
A victory at Udinese on Saturday night would seal a top-three place.
A Milan source said: "Carlo has decided it is time to make a final decision and do it publicly, as soon as he can.
"Owner Silvio Berlusconi appears to have chosen his successor, although it is not clear if that is Luciano Spalletti, Frank Rijkaard or Leonardo." Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko has claimed he is a Chelsea target this summer.
Dzeko, 23, has scored 40 goals in 48 games this season to take his club top of the Bundesliga.
"I am aware of Chelsea's interest," he said. "Other English and Spanish clubs are also interested in me, but I'll only think about it at the end of the season."
