Arsenal have a 'secret deal' in place with Barcelona for the imminent transfer of Cesc Fabregas, according to a report in the Spanish press .
The El Mundo Deportivo newspaper also claims that talks are so far advanced that a deal could be concluded by the end of the week.
Arsenal have repeatedly reiterated their position that Fabregas is not for sale, despite extreme public pressure from both Barcelona executives and also several members of the team's playing staff .
MirrorFootball reported at the weekend that Arsene Wenger was due to meet his skipper this week for showdown talks , with a view to maintaining his services for another season before granting the Spaniard's wish to rejoin Barcelona next summer.
