Galatasaray to splash out on Chelsea star

Chelsea star Didier Drogba is a shock target for fallen Turkish giants Galatasaray - who will offer him a massive final pay day.
Drogba’s future has been in doubt since the January arrival of Fernando Torres and Galatasaray want to give him a new home and a long-term contract on over £5million-a-year.
The Ivory Coast veteran, 33, is seen as the ideal partner for Swede Johan Elmander, who is joining Gala from Bolton on a free transfer, as they throw their money about to make up for finishing a poor eighth in the domestic league this season.
Drogba is their big target and the Istanbul outfit - who have fortunes to spend - hope that Chelsea will let them open talks with the player and his agent.
The powerful Stamford Bridge striker knows his career is at the crossroads after the arrival of Torres, and after his form was hit by a bout of malaria.
Galatasaray hope they can do a deal and if they are given permission to speak to the player, it will be a sure sign that Drogba’s days at Chelsea are over.
Tottenham would love to have Drogba, but the Turks have the financial clout to put together a better package than Spurs may be prepared to offer a player of his age.
