Lampard faces another two weeks in stands

Chelsea have been hit with another injury blow after Frank Lampard’s groin injury ruled him out for an extra fortnight.
The midfielder has not played since suffering a hernia problem against Stoke on August 28.
And despite undergoing surgery, the England ace is now struggling with a groin strain which will sideline him for tomorrow’s Blues visit to Aston Villa, the midweek Champions League clash at Spartak Moscow and then the home match with Wolves.
The Premier League leaders have already been rocked with the news that Yossi Benayoun is out for six months with an Achilles injury suffered on Israel duty. The midfielder will have surgery on Monday.
Alex is out with a thigh injury this weekend, and fellow centre-back John Terry is also a doubt after withdrawing from England’s Euro 2012 qualifier with Montenegro due to a back injury.
But Paulo Ferreira has started six matches this season after retiring from international duty with Portugal in the summer.
The full-back, 31, said: “I had a chance to make a good pre-season, because last season I was recovering from the knee operation.
“This season I am enjoying it a lot, working hard and always ready to play if the manager wants. I’ve had chances to play and given 100 per cent and tried to help the team.”
