Lampard set to be benched again

Frank Lampard is set to be left out of the Chelsea team again.
The 33-year-old midfielder is unlikely to be recalled for tomorrow night’s clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas hauled the England midfielder off at Newcastle eight days ago and left him out for the Champions League clash with Valencia on Tuesday.
AVB is still finalising his plans, but Lampard could face the indignity of a second snub in six days as, privately, Villas- Boas believes his lack of pace and versatility is holding the side back.
Lampard has kept a dignified silence, but with just 18 months left on his deal it appears his Chelsea career is coming to an end.
