Chelsea are tempting fate next season - with a new home strip featuring gold in recognition of London hosting the 2012 Olympics.
The Blues are unlikely to pick up even a Premier League bronze this term, currently lying four points behind third-placed Arsenal despite having played a game more.
But their new look seems to indicate they will finish first in 2012/13, with the club crest, and the the logos of sponsors Samsung and kit manufacturers adidas all in gold.
Also gold are adidas' iconic three stripes across the shoulders, the ‘CFC’ motif on the rear of the neck and the piping around the arms and neck. Shorts and socks also feature golden triple stripes.
The club say the gold theme is "reflective of the year of sport and celebration in the capital in 2012".
The 2012/13 shirts again features adidas Techfit™ and ClimaCool™ technology.
The new home kit will be available to buy May 10th 2012 but can be pre-ordered online at www.chelseafc.com/megastore , with an rrp of £55 for an adult shirt.
