Chievo are the surprise leaders of Serie A - and the only club to have a 100% record after two games - after a 3-1 victory at Genoa.
Mattia Destro scored on his Serie A debut for Genoa after six minutes and it looked like it would be a comprehensive win for the home team as they wasted numerous chances in the first half an hour, but the Flying Donkeys responded well.
Davide Moscardelli brought them level on the stroke of half-time and further goals from Michele Marcolini and Sergio Pellissier in the second half earned them a deserved win which could even have been greater, had they taken their chances.
Sampdoria are in a clutch of teams with four points after an entertaining 3-3 draw at Juventus.
Luigi Del Neri's Juve, who went down 1-0 at Bari in their opener a fortnight ago, trailed to Nicola Pozzi's 36th-minute strike but got back on terms through Claudio Marchisio two minutes before the break.
Simone Pepe and Fabio Quagliarella netted further goals for Juve after the interval but on each occasion they were cancelled out, first by Antonio Cassano and then by Pozzi again.
Bari have also made a strong start, following up their win over Juve with a 2-2 draw at Napoli. Paulo Barreto put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute, but Edison Cavani levelled for the home side after half an hour.
Paolo Cannavaro thought he had won it late on for Napoli, but Jose Castillo silenced the fans inside the Stadio San Paolo with an equaliser within a minute.
Lecce bounced back from their 4-0 mauling at AC Milan with a 1-0 defeat of Fiorentina - David Di Michele netting the only goal - while Brescia edged out Palermo 3-2.
Lazio fended off a late Bologna comeback to record a 3-1 win and Catania earned their first points of the season courtesy of two penalties against Parma.
