Cooper makes case for the defence

New Peterborough manager Mark Cooper has called time on his side's attacking style of play as he looks to guide them away from the foot of the Championship table.
Posh won many plaudits under former manager Darren Ferguson for the fluent style which saw full-backs overlapping at will. But after keeping just one clean sheet this season Cooper has admitted that things will have to change at London Road.
He told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "The team had become too easy to score against and therefore too easy to beat."
He added: "We have spent much of my first two days drumming defensive routines into the team because we need to tighten up at the back.
"I know they have become used to a particular style of play, but full-backs for example are there to defend first and foremost."
