Cristiano Ronaldo: Tiger Woods is my sporting hero

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed Tiger Woods is the star he would most like to meet - then admitted he is so bad at golf he has given it up.

Ronaldo has met his football heroes Maradona, Pele and Zidane, as well as United legends Sir Bobby Charlton and Denis Law.

But Ronaldo said Woods, a fellow Nike client, is top of his list of sporting celebrities.

"In terms of footballers, I have met everyone," he said. "But I'd like to meet Tiger Woods. He's phenomenal.

"My golf is very bad. I don't like to play golf but I like to watch it."
