Cristiano Ronaldo and the Top 10 classic handballs

Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in the Manchester derby yesterday for a bizarre handball, but he is not the first footballer to get his limbs a bit confused...
1) Paul Scholes
Ronaldo's team mate Paul Scholes did something similarly dumb in the European Supercup against Zenit St Petersburg. His effort did end up in the net but only earned a second yellow card and dismissal.
2) Wes Brown
And Wes Brown upset Martin Jol in August last year when yet another away penalty appeal was turned down at Old Trafford.
3) Milan Baros
Portsmouth sneaked past West Brom to reach the FA Cup final last season - the officials didn't spot Milan Baros' hand ball in the run up to Kanu's goal
4) Didier Drogba
Didier Drogba had seen a goal rightly ruled out for handball against Fulham the previous week, but the officials missed his sleight of hand against Manchester City. Danny Mills spotted it though...
5) Filippo Inzaghi
AC Milan got their revenge against that 2005 night in Istanbul when the two teams met again in the Champions League final last year. And Filippo Inzaghi's helping hand with Andrea Pirlo's free kick put them in the driving seat.
6) Alberto Gilardino
Fiorentina striker Alberto Gilardino scored with his hand against Palermo in October - but he was later banned for two games over it with the authorities citing "serious unsporting conduct"
7) Paolo Di Canio
Far more sporting behaviour from Paolo Di Canio who caught the ball in the penalty area when he could have scored, choosing to stop play to allow injured Everton keeper Paul Gerrard to receive treatment. 8) Oliver Kahn
Oliver Kahn went up for a set piece late on as his Munich side trailed - unfortunately he elected to try to punch it in. Maybe he got confused about which end of the pitch he was at...
9) Lionel Messi
The Barcelona striker has been touted as the new Maradona - and it's easy to see why with this goal.
10) Diego Maradona
The Hand of God. Will there ever be a handball to take its place at number one? Let's hope not.
