Crocked McCann facing uncertain future

Bolton midfield warhorse Gavin McCann is out for the rest of the season - and may have played his last game for the club - after an ankle operation.

McCann has been battling with the problem for a couple of months but a specialist has now told him to have surgery and the operation rules him out for months.

Much-travelled McCann is out of contract in the summer and now faces an uncertain future, but boss Owen Coyle is sympathetic towards him and said: "It's a blow for him, we will have to sit down and see what happens from here."
