Darren Purse will lift FA Cup if Cardiff win

Cardiff skipper Darren Purse has revealed he and Stephen McPhail will both lift the FA Cup if the Bluebirds triumph today.

Defender Purse, 31, is set for a slot on the bench due to Roger Johnson's impressive partnership with Glenn Loovens.

And McPhail, 28, will wear the armband against Portsmouth, who have lost their last four games. But Purse said: "I've had a chat with McPhail and we'll lift it together. We will both pick it up if we win and we have a good chance.

"Portsmouth are not in great form. It will be about who handles the nerves the best."
