Datolo wants Espanyol move

Espanyol look set to sign Napoli midfielder Jesus Datolo this week after the player's agent said his client would only entertain offers from the Barcelona-based club.

Datolo, an Argentina international and former Boca Juniors player, has never established himself as a first-team regular at Napoli and spent the second half of last season on loan at Greek side Olympiacos.

"If we don't close an agreement with Espanyol, Datolo will stay at Napoli and try to look for more opportunities (with the Italian side)," said agent Jose Sampieri in quotes reported by Sport. "We have already made it clear to the club that we are not going to listen to any offers that aren't from Espanyol."
