Becks jets back to US from Royal Wedding but can't lead Galaxy to win

David Beckham was unable to inspire the Los Angeles Galaxy to a victory on Sunday night as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to FC Dallas in Texas.
The former England captain attended the Royal Wedding in London on Friday along with his wife Victoria, but flew straight back to the US and played 83 minutes of the Major League Soccer match in Dallas before being replaced by Jovan Kirovski.
The Western Conference leaders fell behind to a Fabian Castillo goal in the 47th minute but levelled four minutes later through Landon Donovan.
However, Brek Shea's goal in the 88th minute for Dallas earned them all three points and moved them up to fifth in the Western Conference.
The result will be a blow to Beckham as he celebrates his 36th birthday on Monday.
