David Bentley and Roque Santa Cruz on Mark Hughes' hit list

New boss Mark Hughes has already identified several key players he wants to help kickstart his Manchester City revolution.

He is ready to raid former club Blackburn for England midfielder David Bentley and prolific goalscorer Roque Santa Cruz.

But Hughes may find it difficult, with Bentley favouring a move to a club offering Champions League football and Santa Cruz on Manchester United's radar.

One player who looks set to move to City is CSKA's Brazilian striker Jo, whose £19million switch is expected within days. City chairman and owner Thaksin Shinawatra is still pursuing his bid to sign Ronaldinho from Barcelona.

But there is the problem of Ronaldinho's reputed £150,000-a-week salary.
