David O'Leary slams lack of Aston Villa succes with Martin O'Neill in charge

Former Aston Villa manager David O'Leary claims that his successor Martin O'Neill has not progressed the club despite spending millions on players.
O'Leary, in charge from 20032006, guided the club to sixth in his first season, while Villa have also come sixth in the past two seasons under O'Neill.
And O'Leary says Villa are no better, even though O'Neill spent £50m last summer.
O'Leary said: "He says he's dealing with a young, small squad. Yet when I said that it was, 'He's making excuses'.
"Martin, for all the money he has spent over three years hasn't finished higher than I finished. Those are the facts."
