Debate: Is Man United's pursuit of Berbatov hypocritical?
Published 16:14 22/07/08 By By Mirror.co.uk
For the past few months, various members of Manchester United's top brass have complained loudly and at some length about Real Madrid's allegedly underhand overtures to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Today those same suits find themselves facing similar allegations from their Spurs counterparts.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly submitted a year's worth of evidence to support their complaint over the Reds' pursuit of Spurs stiker Dimitar Berbatov and branded manager Sir Alex Ferguson "arrogant" and "unbelievably hypocritical".
Sir Alex in turn has warned he will be closely scrutinising the North London clubs' comments to see if he has grounds to sue.
So, do Tottenham have a point?
Are Manchester United acting in a hypocritical way?
Or should we all just accept that this kind of thing happens all the time anyway and get on with it?
