Liverpool finally beat Manchester United, Chelsea won the clash of the cash, Gianfranco Zola learned just how big a job he has taken on at West Ham and after Newcastle's shambolic performance owner Mike Ashley put the club up for sale.
Our Premier League fan bloggers are having their say on the weekend action - do you agree with them? Who were the weekend's stand-out performers? And what do you make of the latest round of Premier League games? Check out our Premier League fan blog to leave your comments.
Newcastle blogger Kevin Roberts has been giving a Toon fan's reaction to the last two weeks of madness at St James' Park , and in his latest installment he responds to Mike Ashley's 1,660 word statement. Kevin writes: "In fairness when you read Mike Ashley's statement it makes a lot of common sense and he raises a lot of valid points and is bang on with some of the things he has said.
"The problem Mike is that you have fallen for the classic myth 'Newcastle fans want it now now now' and you have treated those fans you 'loved standing with' with contempt." Read more and have your say here.
Liverpool blogger Simon Furnivall is one of the happiest men around after seeing his team end their Manchester United hoodoo. He writes: "OK, so in terms of the Premier League table, the win over Man Utd was worth nothing more than those we had claimed over Sunderland and Middlesbrough, but there can be no question that these three points have the potential to boost our confidence like no others could." Chelsea fan Gavin Juniper is enjoying the Blues' exciting new free-flowing style, writing: "The Blues reminded me alot of England in midweek and I'm hoping that we see more of this kind of style added to the English game as the season develops." Read more and have your say here.
While for rivals Manchester City , Jack Pitt-Brooke welcomed the reality check. He says: "A necessary reminder that Chelsea are much better than us. Maybe five years after our takeover we'll be this good, but for the time being we are not serious contenders." Read more and have your say here.
For Bolton fan Lee Bolton, the pressing question is what has happened to the Wanderers' renowned fight. "Leaving aside the fact we approached the game with 3 defensive-minded midfielders, the XI that started didn't even turn up. We seem unable to pass to one another, to move for each other, and to fill in space at the back," he complains. Read more and have your say here.
And Middlesbrough fan Stuart Young is unhappy about the referee after his team's loss at Portsmouth. He writes: "It didn't take long for one of the elite referees in this country to cost us a point in a season where we could be challenging for a European place." Read more and have your say here.
