Derby have opened talks with Burton Albion about recruiting their manager Nigel Clough.
The Clough clan have strong ties with the Rams after Brian led the club to the old First Division title in 1972 during a six-year spell in charge.
The Rams are now ready to turn to Clough junior, 42, who said: "Of course I'd be interested. It's a great opportunity but it's just talk at the moment. Let's see what comes of it." Derby chairman Adam Pearson said: "Nigel Clough is definitely one we're looking at.
"I've spoken to Burton about Nigel. The time is right for a younger, brighter manager to come in and create a legacy."
