Diarra's Pompey future in doubt

Assistant boss Tony Adams has warned Portsmouth will struggle to keep hold of Lassana Diarra after the France international gave a midfield masterclass at Wembley.
As the Pompey players queued to predict the 23-year-old, signed from Arsenal in January, would be one of the stars of Euro 2008 this summer, Adams admitted: "If he keeps playing like that we might lose him.
"He's a sweet lad and the club will do well to keep him if he keeps on playing like that. Portsmouth needs to come up to his standards. Can we do that? If the chairman keeps putting money in." Diarra left Chelsea and then Arsenal to play more regular football and declared on his £5.5million arrival at Fratton Park that he was using Portsmouth as a "stepping stone" back to a bigger club. But after Saturday's win he said: "This club has a great future. I signed for Portsmouth because it's a great team and a great squad.
We can go to Europe, I am very proud."
