Emmanuel Adebayor signs new Arsenal deal

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor signed a new contract last night to end speculation about his future.
The Togo star was expected to be sold after demanding a £130,000-a-week deal to put him on a par with Thierry Henry following his 30 goals last season.
Despite offers of around £24million from AC Milan and Barcelona, the Gunners demanded £35million and scared both clubs off.
Adebayor yesterday agreed a five-year deal worth a cut-price £90,000-a-week!
A club spokesman said: "Everyone at Arsenal looks forward to Emmanuel's continued contribution to the club."
