Capello set to snub U19s bid for Euro glory

Fabio Capello is set to snub England's youngsters' bid for European Championship glory.
It puts a serious question mark over Capello's commitment to developing youngsters as the England manager has missed the last three youth tournaments.
He has no plans to go to the under-19s Championship in France for England's crucial final Group match with France on Saturday, having stayed away from last night's 1-0 loss to Holland and the previous game - a 3-2 win over Austria.
That means Capello will have missed last summer's under-21s Championships and the under-17s - although that was in the build-up to the World Cup.
Capello has pledged his determination to develop young talent after England's World Cup failings and named Kieran Gibbs, Adam Johnson and Jack Wilshere as players for the future.
But his decision to stay away from the under-19s - who can secure a place in the under-20s World Cup in Columbia - may concern FA chiefs who have been anxious to show their commitment to grass roots football after South Africa.
Meanwhile, Capello will have to ask the FA in future for permission to do outside commercial work.
That comes in light of the Capello Index which published controversial player ratings for England's flops after the World Cup. Capello insisted it was done without his permission.
