England team v Brazil: Bent starts, Rooney is captain

Wayne Rooney looks likely to skipper England against Brazil tonight after John Terry missed out on a starting spot for the Qata friendly.

Darren Bent starts upfront alongside new dad Wazza and much-criticised Manchester City defenders Joleon Lescott and Wayne Bridge also get their chance.

Team: Ben Foster; Wes Brown, Matthew Upson, Joleon Lescott, Wayne Bridge; Shaun Wright-Phillips, Jermaine Jenas, Gareth Barry, James Milner; Darren Bent, Wayne Rooney.
