Euro 2008: Betfred betting for Tuesday's matches

France v Italy (kick off 7.45pm)
Italy look worthy favourites at 11/8 to beat France tonight and send them packing without a victory in this year's tournament.
The French, who are 6/4, seem to have lost their self-belief and were tore apart by the Dutch when defeated 4-1.
The Italians also suffered at the hands of Marco Van Basten's side but played a lot better in their 1-1 draw against Romania and have some top class strikers who the French defence could find too hot to handle.
"Punters are definitely siding with Italy to win this mouth watering clash, convinced that it will be a case of au revoir for the French," said Betfred spokesman Dave Metcalf.
" Toni Luca is due a goal for Italy, and at 11/2 he is being backed to turn on the style and score the opener. Fellow striker Del Piero is also proving popular at 6/1 but nobody wants to risk a penny on any of the French players hitting the back of the net."
In what looks sure to be a tight fought affair the draw is priced at 11-4 with Betfred, but the Warrington-based firm has seen more interest in the correct score market with a 2-1 Italian victory being backed off the boards.
"We are going 8/1 and have taken a number of large bets, including one of £2,000 at those odds," said Dave. "Punters who have put their faith and hard earned on Toni scoring first are also backing him in the scorecast with the 2-1 scoreline at 45/1. If that comes up we will need a few bottles of Chianti to drown our sorrows!"
Best bets
To win match: Italy 11/8
First goalscorer: Luca Toni 11/2
Correct score: Italy to win 2-1 8/1
Scorecast: Toni to score 1st and Italy to win 2-1 45/1
Holland v Romania
(kick off 7.45pm)
Holland are a massive 15/8 to beat Romania tonight as punters fear Marco Van Basten will play his `B' side and rest his star players for the quarter final.
The Dutch have looked awesome in victories over France and Italy and are now 7/2 second favourites behind Spain (100/30) to win the tournament outright.
But with Van Basten certain to make major changes to his line-up it is Romanians who are being backed to triumph at 11/10.
"With Holland safely through punters are being put off getting heavily involved because they saw what happened when Portugal made major changes when they were in the same position and ended up get beat 2-0 by Switzerland," said Betfred spokesman Dave Metcalf.
"Having said that, the Dutch have more strength in depth than the Portuguese and I wouldn't be surprised if they still managed to win by the odd goal and 2-1 is proving popular with correct score backers at 10/1."
Arjen Robben, who scored a spectacular goal in the Dutch's 4-1 demolition of France is 7/1 to net the opening goal of the game, with Romania's Adrian Mutu 5/1 favourite to hit the back of the net first.
"Robben's goal against Italy was simply awesome, and if he chosen for the starting line-up then the 7-1 on offer will look huge. Weight of money suggests he will be on the field at kick off, and punters are going double Dutch on him scoring first and Holland sneaking the game 2-1 at a huge looking 66/1," added Dave.
Best bets
To win match: Holland 15/8
