Portugal v Germany (kick off 7.45)
Portugal are 6-4 favourites with Betfred to prove too strong for the Germans in tonight's quarter final clash.
Big Phil Scolari will have his side back to full strength after leaving out key players in their 2-0 defeat against Switzerland.
That move will ensure a side full of fresh legs, and once again that man Ronaldo is 5-1 favourite to score the opening goal of the game for which Betfred make Germany 15/8 shots with the draw a 2/1 chance.
"Big Phil knew what he was doing when he fielded a depleted side against the Swiss. The Portuguese were already safely through for this game and it made sense to rest his best players who could hold the key to a vital victory," said Betfred spokesman Dave Metcalf.
"Punters have been falling over themselves to back Portugal to win in 90 minutes at 6/4, especially as the Germans had such a hard game against Austria just two days ago. In Ronaldo, Gomes and Almeida they have three strikers capable of unlocking any defence."
Gomes is 6/1 and Almeida 7/1 to eclipse Ronaldo and net the opener, whilst for Germany Klose is once again favourite at 6/1 followed by Podolski at 7s.
Protugal to win 2-1 is proving the favourite winning scoreline with Betfred at 9/1, but those who think that the game may go to extra time may be more tempted by the 8-11 for them to qualify for the semis. Germany are even money to do so.
"It's a fascinating game and on paper the teams are very closely matched. The fact that Germany have had the tougher schedule could be the deciding factor and if Portugal play the type of football they are capable of then I think their fans will be collecting," added Dave
