Everton probe 'highly critical' leaked emails

Everton have announced an internal investigation into a series of leaked emails criticising the club – alleged to be from the club’s director of communications Ian Ross.
In what Everton claim is illegally obtained information, a series of correspondence between the PR man and chief executive Robert Elstone was passed to fans’ sites, though later removed from the internet.
Some of the emails are highly critical of Elstone’s leadership while others hint at growing air of paranoia in the club and talk of financial meltdown.
Club officials have not confirmed if the emails are genuine, but a probe will be conducted to determine how they were obtained by parties from outside the club.
