Everton reject snubs short-term deal at Hull

Everton reject Andy van der Meyde insists he would rather return to Holland and play for peanuts than join Premier League strugglers Hull City.
The winger is still searching for a new club after being released from Goodison Park at the end of last season.
He had a trial with Blackburn in the hope of landing a permanent deal, but failed to impress Sam Allardyce.
Now Hull have shown an interest in landing him on a free transfer and were willing to offer him a short-term deal until the end of the season worth around £18,000-a-week.
But van der Meyde has delivered the ultimate snub to manager Phil Brown by revealing he would rather secure a return to Holland - even if it meant him earning much less.
He said: "Blackburn were interested, but a youngster did well in the pre-season, so there was no room for me.
"I will return to the Netherlands. I could go to Hull, but I can't see it happening.
"I miss Holland and just want to play football and not really earn an absurd salary."
