Everton back in for Real Madrid starlet

Everton boss David Moyes is making a second attempt to sign Real Madrid’s Sergio Canales.
Moyes wants the attacking midfielder on loan for a season after Jose Mourinho cleared him to leave Real for first-team football.
Canales moved to Madrid from Racing Santander a year ago – when Everton were among the bidders – but has barely featured.
The Bernabeu hierarchy do not want to lose the 20-year-old permanently as he is rated a star of the future and a top commercial draw among younger fans.
Villarreal made an offer to buy Canales, but Real would prefer not to sell and are also reluctant to loan him to another La Liga club.
Everton are now vying with Germans Wolfsburg for his signature. Arsenal were interested in the Spain Under-20 international in the past but shied away from talks as Real would like to involve Cesc Fabregas in the deal.
Moyes, who is on a tight budget, could sign Canales without having to sell.
