Everton footballer Magaye Gueye has been robbed by thieves who forced their way into his home.
The winger, 21, had gone outside to his car near his apartment when he was threatened by the men.
They forced him to let them into his home, where they stole cash and a phone.
Everton said Gueye, who has played for France’s under-21 team, was “shaken but unhurt” in the robbery in Sefton Park, Liverpool, in the early hours of Sunday.
Police said the men were black and in their late 20s.
