David Beckham last night refused to give up on his dream of playing for England again.
The former Three Lions skipper is attracting rave reviews in the US after leading LA Galaxy into the play-offs.
And the 36-year-old, who is being courted by French league leaders Paris Saint-Germain, hopes to force his way back into Fabio Capello’s thinking.
“I’m still playing well, I’m still fit and I haven’t retired from international football,” said Beckham. “I’m never going to say it’s over for me with England.
“If there are players injured or players out, if I’m ever needed, then of course I’m available.
“I would love to play for England again – and I believe I will.”
