Exclusive: Paul Ince wants Archie Knox to join him at Blackburn

Paul Ince is ready to bring in old pal Archie Knox to his Blackburn management team - to provide the Gov'nor with top-flight experience.

Ince worked with the Scottish coach for a couple of years at Manchester United and is keen to bring him into a key senior role. Knox, 61, is a free agent after being dumped by Bolton Wanderers where he was No.2 to Sammy Lee and then Gary Megson - with a brief stint as caretaker.

Ince wants a proven coach to join him and Ray Mathias in their new challenge at Ewood Park - and few come with more know-how than the canny Scot who has been in management for close to 30 years.
