Football fans put clubs before country

Most fans put their loyalty to club above the fortunes of their country in a survey carried out after England’s World Cup performance.
A total of 63 per cent said their club was their No.1 priority according to a survey. The results of the ‘Fan Census 2010’, conducted by FourFourTwo magazine, reveal 20.4 per cent say their loyalties to club and country are split equally between the two, only 14.3 per cent claim to put country first.
