Motherwell will be without Marc Fitzpatrick for their Europa League opener against Icelandic side Breidablik.
The midfielder is slightly short of fitness after recovering from the hamstring injury that ended his season prematurely.
Former Charlton goalkeeper Darren Randolph is expected to make his competitive debut while Stevie Hammell should overcome a thigh knock.
Meanwhile, Breidablik manager Olafur Kristjansson has warned Motherwell his young players are fighting for a future in football during their Europa League campaign.
Well's opponents in the second qualifying round are part-time but top the Icelandic league and feature several prospects who have attracted interest from abroad.
Kristjansson said: "We have been building a team around players from the youth team.
"They are a good age now - not experienced but young with ambition and skill.
"There has (been) a bit of interest in some and they have to do well against Motherwell so they can play abroad.
"We want to create skilful players who can make a living through football and we will not hold them back."
The Icelandic cup winners will make their European debut at Fir Park on Thursday but their manager added: "Sixteen out of 18 at the club have played for the international team at some level - they know a bit about how to play foreign teams."
