Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is ready to move for Kosice's Slovakian striker Jan Novak - to make up for the loss of Andy Johnson.
Hodgson's spies watched the 24-year-old attacker in Europa League action on Thursday night and could snap him up for around £2million before the window shuts.
The Craven Cottage outfit have had their options reduced by Johnson's injury and are looking closely at Novak, who has been capped twice by his country and is keen to come to England.
Novak can play down either wing as well as through the middle.
