Fulham's Paul Konchesky a shock Blackburn target

Blackburn boss Paul Ince is making a shock move for Fulham left-back Paul Konchesky as he prepares to fight to keep new England cap Steven Warnock.
Ince wants to push through a £2million deal for former West Ham and Charlton star Konchesky.
The Rovers chief had planned for Konchesky, 27, to compete for a place in the team - but he could turn out to be a straight replacement for Warnock if Newcastle offer enough cash.
In a blow for the Ince regime Warnock, 26, wants away, but Rovers may tell him to stay - although Konchesky would provide a safety net if Toon come in with £5m.
Ince also wants MK Dons skipper Keith Andrews, 27, but both he and the Rovers money men are reluctant to pay the £2m asking price - and the midfielder may have to wait for his return to the big time.
Blackburn could also make a concrete offer for Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant shortly, although the clubs are miles apart on valuations for the Kop flop, 25. Ince should tie up a deal for Anfield legend Robbie Fowler today after liking what he saw in pre-season training and games.
His old Liverpool mate, 33, is a free agent and likely to be given a short-term deal.
Blackburn forward Paul Gallagher is joining Preston on a six-month loan.
The Scottish hitman, 24, had a loan at North End and is wanted back by boss Alan Irvine.
Gallagher has turned down the chance to play in Norway for Viking Stavanger to drop down to the Championship.
