Gareth Barry has admitted he wants showdown talks with Martin O'Neill about his Aston Villa future.
Villa captain Barry is a £10million target for Liverpool and says the decision could affect his England chances.
Barry admitted he wants his future resolved quickly, after Steven Gerrard revealed in Mirror Sport on Saturday he is desperate for his England midfield partner to make the switch to Anfield this summer.
Barry said: "I would like things cleared up, the sooner the better. It would be easier for myself and for the fans.
"Liverpool's interest is very flattering. Champions League football helps any player.
You only have to look at the England squad to see the amount of players involved.
"And that's all about the decision that will have to be made by myself.
"There's so much to lose at Villa. I've been there for 10 years, got a good rapport with fans and I'm captain."
