Gilberto Silva takes parting swipe at trophyless Arsenal

Gilberto Silva last night fired a parting shot at Arsenal by predicting they would finish without a trophy for a FOURTH successive season.

The Brazilian World Cup-winner joined Greek side Panathinaikos after six years with the Gunners, whose last major trophy was the FA Cup in 2005.

Silva said: "It will be hard again for them. People forget they are still a young side while there is massive pressure on them. They still have to grow and to learn."
