Gulls swoop for Macklin

Torquay manager Paul Buckle has agreed terms with teenage winger Lloyd Macklin.

Buckle has monitored the 18-year-old since he enjoyed a month-long loan spell at Plainmoor last term.

And following his recent release by Swindon, the Gulls boss has made his move. Buckle said: "Lloyd will be joining us. He impressed me last season when he was on loan here and has got bags of pace and potential - which is what we look for in all our young signings."
