HT Chelsea 1-2 Newcastle: Ranger and Taylor set up upset

Newcastle set up a famous upset over the Premier Lerague's form team despite going behind to an early goal
The names on both sides were unfamiliar yet after six minutes the story looked like it would be utterly predictable as Chelsea went ahead with their first serious assault on goal.
Magpies keeper Tim Krul crashed into Sol Campbell as the former England defender headed clear but it was when Ranger got caught in possession by Van Aanholt that the danger really came.
Van Aanholt threaded through to Gael Kauta and then slammed the return ball through his fellow Dutchman's fingers for the first senior goal of his career, not an auspicious start for Krul as he seeks to persuade Hughton he can replace Steve Harper.
Almost instantly, Campbell was a fraction away from converting Taylor's free-kick but while Chelsea - who had made ONLY nine changes from the weekend, compared to Newcastle's 10 - were ambling, they still looked to have plenty in hand.
Taylor was lucky to escape with a yellow for a shocker that sent Kakuta flying before Ancelotti showed his frustration when the French winger, teased in by Yossi Benayoun, tried to play a glory ball with options available.
And when the game turned on its head in the space of five minutes around the half-hour, the Italian had reason to do his nut.
The equaliser came out of nothing as Van Aanholt, so alert for his goal, paid the price for switching off.
Peter Lovenkrands got the jump on fit-again John Terry to flick on Shane Ferguspn's cross and with Van Aanholt on his heels, Ranger stole in to score only the third goal of his career.
The England Under-19 striker should have had a second two minutes later, producing an embarrassing air-shot with the goal begging after Terry had failed to cut out Jonas Gutierrez' cross but his miss was forgotten when the Geordies did go in front.
Jeffrey Bruma, another of those Chelsea youngsters, hauled down Shola Ameobi on the edge of the box and with Ross Turnbull blind-sided by his position behind the wall, Taylor's free-kick flashed past him into the corner.
Shock, which which would have been utter disbelief had Van Aanholt not partially redeemed himself by a sliding clearance off the line when Ameobi shot past Turnbull.
Chelsea, though, could have been level before the break. Ancelotti demanded for a red card when Taylor brought down Van Aanholt but when Yuri Zhirkov squared, Daniel Sturridge knew he should have done better.
