Redknapp: 'Only Barca could have done better'

Harry Redknapp watched his Spurs surrender a two-goal lead on their Champions League debut but insisted: "We couldn't have played better."
Terrific Tottenham were two up inside 18 minutes after Peter Crouch forced an own goal by Petri Pasanen and then headed home Rafael Van Der Vaart's superb cross.
But two goals in four minutes either side of the break by Hugo Almeida and Marko Marin left Redknapp's side hanging on for a vital point at the start of their bid for Euro glory.
Redknapp, though, refused to be negative as he said: "I can't be angry.
"Of course I'm a bit frustrated but we came here for an away game at a very difficult place and couldn't be more delighted.
"The first half was as good as you could wish to see from us. Barcelona might be able to do better but that was as good as Tottenham can do. We played some great stuff, dominated and could've been three or four up, easily.
"It was a perfect 43 minutes. We were fantastic in the first half, completely controlled it and could've been three or four up. That would have been fair reflection.
"We knocked the ball around and believed in ourselves. That's how I want them to play, passing the ball and moving it. We found Van Der Vaart in little holes and Gareth Bale was running them ragged.
"Then we gave them a lifeline from nothing, after they had not bothered us at all. Suddenly it was 2-1 and they had something to go for when they'd been struggling to live with us."
Redknapp admitted the defending for Werder's opener was not clever but added: "When you get dragged back to 2-2 you fear the worst.
"We could've crumbled and gone under but came back strong and had a couple of great chances to have won it.
"If we play like that every game we won't go too far wrong. We've got to continue to play like that. If we can draw away and win home games we will be okay. If we win a couple of home we'll get enough points. You couldn't ask for more except a win."
