Hull open talks with Marlon Harewood

Hull City have opened talks with Aston Villa misfit Marlon Harewood about a £2million move to the KC Stadium.

Harewood, 29, is desperate to quit Villa Park after making just one Premier League start since joining from West Ham in 2007 for £4m.

Manager Phil Brown is expected to offer him a two-year deal worth around £25,000-a-week and a source close to the player said: "Marlon still feels he can do a good job in the Premier League."

Harewood's arrival could also signal the departure of Daniel Cousin.
