Hull out to rescue Manchester City reject Georgios Samaras

Hull City boss Phil Brown is making a shock bid to rescue Manchester City striker Georgios Samaras from the scrapheap - by offering him a Premier League lifeline.

Brown is keen to take the Greek forward on loan for the season.

Samaras is back at City after a loan at Celtic. Former City midfielder Geovanni is flying back from Brazil to try his luck with the Tigers.
