Miroslav Klose grabbed his 63rd international goal as Germany thumped Netherlands 3-0 in a friendly in Hamburg.
The 2010 World Cup runners-up were sunk by goals from Thomas Mueller, Klose and Mesut Ozil in front of a sellout crowd of 51,500.
Mueller put Germany ahead in the 15th minute after a lightning counter-attack.
Toni Kroos sent in a high cross to Klose and he tapped the ball for Mueller to beat goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg with a shot into the corner of the net.
Klose struck 11 minutes later, latching onto a centre from Ozil to head powerfully home.
He is now five goals short of Gerd Mueller's record tally of 68 for Germany.
Ozil made it 3-0 in the 66th minute at the end of another scintillating attack.
In Rome, Italy slumped to defeat against 10-man Uruguay . Malaga striker Sebastian Fernandez scored the only goal after three minutes.
Uruguay ended with 10 men when Alvarez Pereira received his second yellow card nine minutes from time.
France extended their unbeaten run to 17 games but once again failed to convince in a 0-0 draw against Belgium in a dull friendly at the Stade de France.
In Esbjerg, Liverpool's Daniel Agger and Nicklas Bendtner of Arsenal scored in a two-minute spell as Denmark fought back to beat Finland 2-1.
Finland took the lead in the 18th minute when Kasper Hamalainen's effort was fumbled by keeper Anders Lindegaard and Russian-born midfielder Alexei Eremenko knocked in the rebound.
But Agger equalised in the 57th minute and Bendtner broke free to grab the winner.
Arsenal kid Joel Campbell was on target as Costa Rica drew 2-2 with world champions Spain in San Jose. Manchester City's David Silva and Barcelona's David Villa got the Spanish goals in the last eight minutes.
