Ipswich 1-2 Watford: Sunday Mirror match report

Watford boss Sean Dyche saluted the desire of his side after roaring back from behind to beat sorry Ipswich.
Keith Andrews headed the Tractor Boys into a first-half lead but Marvin Sordell’s 70th-minute penalty was swiftly followed by a winner from substitute Troy Deeney, four minutes later.
The defeat stretched Ipswich’s miserable losing run to seven games and puts them in a relegation battle. It came hot on the heels of Tuesday’s 4-0 thumping at Burnley and piles the pressure on manager Paul Jewell.
But in contrast, Dyche believes his side are finally beginning to gel after a difficult start to the season.
And Dyche lavished special on his goal hero Deeney. “He’s got a fantastic attitude and desire.
“He just keeps working every week, whether he starts or doesn’t, whether he comes on or doesn’t.”
Jewell felt his side were “blatantly unlucky” to lose again. He added: “We should have had the three points. I’m an honest manager and I’m not normally one for blaming luck, but today we were blatantly unlucky.
“It’s hugely disappointing to lose seven games, but the players gave their all today.”
