Republic of Ireland assistant manager Liam Brady was today rushed to hospital today after falling ill.
The former Arsenal and West Ham star was taken to the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for treatment in the early hours of this morning.
The former Irish international was described as being in a stable condition by a spokesperson for the hospital, where he is being kept in for observation and tests.
Brady had travelled to Norway with the Irish football squad for an end of summer friendly in Oslo on Wednesday night.
The 52-year-old travelled to Norway with the Republic squad for their 1-1 draw in Oslo last night and arrived back in Dublin with the rest of the coaching staff at around 2am.
"Liam Brady was feeling a bit unwell this morning and as a precautionary measure he went into hospital where he is in a stable condition, and lucid," an FAI spokesman said.
