The draw for the third qualifying round of next season's Champions League took place in Nyon, Switzerland, this morning, with three British teams involved.

The biggest talking point will undoubtedly be the pairing of Dutch club FC Twente with Arsenal that has set up a mouth-watering confrontation between Steve McClaren and Arsene Wenger.

Elsewhere Liverpool pulled Standard Liege out of the bag, while Rangers will face either Aalborg or Modrica if they manage to overcome IFK Kaunas in the second round.

The third-round first-leg games will take place on 12/13 August, with the return matches on 26/27 August.
