O'Neill: Milner will knuckle down for Villa if City move falls through

Martin O'Neill admits negotiations between Aston Villa and Man City over James Milner are deadlocked and expects the star to knuckle down if he stays.
City have offered £20million for Milner but Villa want £30m.
And Villa boss O'Neill will have no hesitation selecting Milner in future if he stays - like with Gareth Barry when his proposed move to Liverpool in 2008 collapsed.
O'Neill said: "The latest state of play is that Manchester City have gone as far as they want to.
"We’ll wait with baited breath on that one. Obviously the over-riding opinion of Villa fans is that they would love James to stay at the football club. As I speak here now, I cannot guarantee that.
"But I don’t think any of his commitment could be in question, knowing the lad.
"Gareth Barry settled down to play brilliantly for us and deserved that move to Manchester City."
