Carew to keep Champagne on ice until Villa taste success

John Carew admits he will only crack open his Champagne if it is to toast success with Aston Villa.
Villa signed the hitman from Lyon in January 2007, and the Norwegian has since won a hatful of man-of-the-match accolades.
He earned another bottle of fizz as he took his tally for the season to 13 with a brace in the 2-2 draw at home to Wolves.
But Carew, 30, admitted: “I don’t know how many I have got – I haven’t counted them.
“There’s a few though. They are all over my house. I haven’t drunk one of them yet.
“I might if we have a Champagne end to the season though.
“We are still in the FA Cup, we are still fighting for fourth place.
“We are doing really great. We are still in there. We can have a fantastic and memorable season with Aston Villa. It’s going to be a great season.”
